Special initiatives AT MARIENLYST
People at the center
At Marienlyst Strandhotel, we believe that sustainability is also about people. We want to be a workplace where everyone feels welcome, safe, and has the opportunity to develop, regardless of background. We are proud of our diverse workplace with 28 different nationalities, colleagues in flex jobs, and collaborations with job centers and integration programs. For us, diversity is a strength that creates a vibrant community and better experiences for our guests.
Room for development
We invest in our employees' future through:
- Education and continuing education
- Internships and apprenticeships
- Internal recruitment and career opportunities across the ESS Group
Sustainability is part of our training program from day one. We want all employees to feel ownership of the green and social agenda—and to find contributing to it fun, meaningful, and motivating.
Training and development
We invest in training, internships, and internal recruitment. Our onboarding program includes sustainability from day one, and we create development opportunities through internal mobility and collaboration with other ESS Resorts.
Policies for better working conditions
Through ESS, Marienlyst has a number of policies and initiatives in place to ensure a safe, healthy, and inclusive working environment for everyone.
- Discrimination policy: We do not accept any form of discrimination and actively work to promote equal opportunities regardless of gender, age, religion, ethnicity, or background.
- Alcohol and drug policy: We prevent and deal with abuse to ensure that the workplace is safe, professional, and free from intoxicants.
- Policy on threats, violence, and offensive behavior: We have clear guidelines for preventing and responding to unacceptable behavior so that both employees and guests can feel safe.
But at Marienlyst, these efforts are not just guidelines, but an important part of our culture and responsibility.
whistleblower schemeAs part of the ESS Group, we have a whistleblower scheme, which is a secure system where employees, partners, or others can report serious issues anonymously.
