Anders Matthesen is hard at work developing new stand-up material, and here at Marienlyst Strandhotel, you’ll have a special opportunity to see him right in the middle of the process as he takes the stage, his head brimming with ideas, offbeat observations, and sharp punchlines.

Matthesen invites the audience into the engine room, where he tests out new material, improvises, and fine-tunes his jokes, using the audience as a barometer of laughter. It’s a lively playground of bits, thoughts, and spontaneous ideas, where some material might find its way into future one-man shows, while other material exists only in the moment.

With iconic shows such as “Anden Paa Coke?”, “Tal For Dig Selv, ” and “Anders Matthesen Vender Tilbage,” as well as classics like “Terkel i Knibe, ” “Jul på Vesterbro,” and “Ternet Ninja,” Anders Matthesen has made Danes laugh time and time again over the decades—thereby cementing his place as one of Denmark’s greatest comedians.
