With its magnificent location directly on the Sound and close to Kronborg Castle, Helsingør Marina, Marienlyst Palace, the Science Museum and the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, Marienlyst offers conference participants a sea of opportunities as regards activities and social events.

Marienlyst is located next to a very fine sandy beach. Take a swim, go diving or try fishing from one of the cutters operating from the port of Helsingør.

Close to the Marienlyst Hotel you will find tennis courts, badminton courts and golf courses. In the nearby forest you can take a run along the exercise path or go for pleasant walks. In the hotel you can play billiards, table tennis, darts or try your luck in the international casino.

You can also go for a swim in the pool with water chute.

At Kronborg Castle, built in 1577, you can see the largest Great Hall in Northern Europe. In the vaults of the castle is a statue of Ogier the Dane (Holger Danske) who keeps watch over Denmark. The Commercial and Maritime Museum houses exhibitions illustrating the long maritime traditions of Denmark, and on the ramparts you will feel the atmosphere of Shakespeare's drama about Hamlet and Ophelia.
